I can think of a number of practical (joke) uses for the trapped skunks.

(I have a skunk and I'm not afraid to use it!)

What's wrong. I thought it was a great excuse! Caught a mother and six babies - they were getting pretty big and practicing their new found skill right under my place. The smell is almost gone.

EEK, Lane! I know how long that smell lingers and how rotten it is. Late one night our dog surprised a skunk who was under our porch a few years back. The dog got into the house right afterwards and was rubbing on the carpets before we could catch him and get him back outside. My husband and I were outside at midnight giving the poor little guy a bath (the dog, not the skunk). Even so the smell lingered in the house for well over a month. Oh, it was awful!

I feel for ya!
