If you want to make a quick yet drastic improvement in your playing simply bring your head up and breath through your mouth. Your lips should be slightly parted. Let your jaw go limp, and relax the muscles around your eyes.

Practice this for 3-5 minutes, ever diligent to the above directive. When you feel yourself getting out of this simply return to the above directives.

Unfortunately it's difficult to hear the difference this makes in your playing. To realize the benefits you should video tape yourself playing normally and then with the above mentioned directives. You should hear a more relaxed performance.

Also, you may not be able to see the fretboard as well.
